Mutual of America Foundation Announces Winners of the 2025 Community Partnership Award
NEW YORK, Dec. 30, 2025 -- The Mutual of America Foundation announced the recipients of its 2025 Community Partnership Award, marking the 30th anniversary of this prestigious national competition. Three nonprofit organizations were selected for their outstanding contributions to society in partnership with public, private and other social sector organizations.

2025 Award Recipients
The Thomas J. Moran Award is given to a partnership that is measurably improving lives and communities, serving as a model for replication in other areas. This year’s national award- winning program is City Teaching Alliance, which was launched in 2009 as Urban Teacher Center of Baltimore, Maryland, to provide educators with critical preparation for career success through graduate-level study, clinical experience, certification support and long-term professional development.
“Our vision is that every school community will be led by thriving, well-resourced and highly qualified career educators who are empowered to make a lasting impact on all learners,” said Dr. Rahesha Amon, CEO of City Teaching Alliance. “Through a unique partnership with Baltimore City Public Schools, City Teaching Alliance has placed more than 300 educators in nearly 90 schools, reaching over 120,000 students. Mutual of America’s generous support enables us to continue this essential work.”
The Frances R. Hesselbein Award is given to a partnership that addresses social challenges and is replicated in more than one community. The 2025 recipient is Girl Scouts of Nassau County, Inc., of Garden City, New York, for its CAP 10 program. This program delivers STEM, life-skills and leadership programs to youth in 10 of the most underserved communities in Nassau County through school partnerships and mentorship.
The Social Impact Award is given to a partnership whose program makes a positive difference in its community and has the potential to scale its impact. This year’s winner is Food Share Ventura County of Oxnard, California, for its Boundless Collaboration program. This program works in collaboration with trusted community organizations to provide vital nutrition and health resources for one of the region’s most vulnerable communities—farmworker families.
