Mutual of America Financial Group Collaborates with Accenture and FIS to Transform Retirement Recordkeeping and Participant Services

NEW YORK, June 10, 2026 – Mutual of America Financial Group, a leading provider of retirement products, services and investments to individuals and organizations, today announced it is collaborating with Accenture and FIS as part of its strategy to modernize its technology, operational and recordkeeping capabilities. Through this work, Mutual of America will empower plan sponsors, participants and individual contractholders with enhanced solutions designed to deliver a seamless and intuitive experience, and to help them achieve their financial goals.

The initiative will combine Mutual of America’s longstanding, customer-first approach to retirement services, asset management and insurance, with Accenture’s expertise in helping organizations reinvent their technology and operations, and FIS’s modern technology foundation through the FIS Retirement Platform.

“For over 80 years, our unwavering commitment to helping customers achieve their financial goals has been our primary focus. Teaming up with global leaders like Accenture and FIS marks a pivotal step in our growth strategy, allowing us to scale our digital capabilities and to elevate the client experience that already differentiates us,” said Stephen J. Rich, Chairman, CEO and President of Mutual of America Financial Group. “This partnership empowers our customers with the innovative, streamlined tools and resources they need to achieve a secure financial future. As the retirement landscape evolves and becomes more competitive, we remain steadfast in delivering the secure, transparent and robust solutions our clients expect and deserve.”

Dean Edwards, global lead of Accenture’s Retirement offering, said, "Mutual of America has made a strategic commitment to transform how it serves its clients through creating a strong digital and operational foundation. Together, we are reimagining how technology works together with operations to drive ongoing reinvention, enhancing the customer experience, and supporting sustainable growth.”

Will Hicks, Head of Global Retirement Products and Services, FIS, noted, “Mutual of America has earned more than 80 years of trust from the plan sponsors and participants it serves, and we are proud they have chosen the FIS Retirement Platform to power the next chapter of that work. FRP gives Mutual of America a modern, cloud-native foundation for its recordkeeping business, built to scale, adapt quickly to regulatory change, and put a better experience in front of every participant. Mutual of America remains the recordkeeper and the steward of those relationships. Our role is to deliver the technology underneath so they can move faster and serve their customers even better.”

Under the agreement, Mutual of America will retain full ownership and responsibility of its retirement plan services and recordkeeping business. Moreover, Mutual of America will continue to fully oversee its relationships with plan sponsors, participants and other investors, as well as its product growth, investment strategy, and operational and technology roadmaps.
